About Us

Apollo Temperature Controllers was formed by Mark Ialapi in 1981, with a goal not to be the biggest, but to give customers a one-on-one personal experience. That proved to be a recipe for success. In 1985 Ed Drzewiecki, a long time friend of Mark's and owner of East Town Heating merged his business with Apollo's. The name was changed to Apollo Heating & Cooling Inc.

The original location on Van Dyke in Warren was soon outgrown. Apollo Heating & Cooling is now permanently located on Harper Avenue in St. Clair Shores. Just like in Warren the residents of the Shores have a thriving community and support local business.

Over the years we have installed all the major brands of heating and cooling equipment, including Carrier, Lennox, Trane and York. We currently feature the Lennox brand. Customers are always welcome to stop in and see us anytime or during the Annual Harper Cruse every summer on the last Wednesday in August.
